Root-cause immunology

Autoimmune

Disorder Management

Your immune system is not broken — it is misdirected. Autoimmune disease is a misdirected immune response with identifiable triggers. Functional immunology testing, gut restoration, Panchakarma, and anti-inflammatory herbal protocols — in the mountains of Kerala.

Integrative Ayurveda. Kerala.

Who this stay

is for

Living with an autoimmune condition means your immune system has turned against you. The fatigue, the flare-ups, the medications that manage symptoms but never seem to fix anything — it wears people down. Each condition is assessed individually: shared mechanisms, different trigger profiles.

Rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis

Joint inflammation, autoimmune cartilage damage, and autoimmune spinal joint inflammation — when conventional care has managed flares without identifying what is driving them.

Hashimoto’s thyroiditis and Sjögren’s

Autoimmune thyroid dysfunction and antibody elevation, and autoimmune dryness affecting glands and tissues.

Lupus, psoriasis, and IBD

Systemic autoimmune inflammation across multiple organs; autoimmune-driven skin cell turnover; Crohn’s and ulcerative colitis — gut-immune dysfunction.

Multiple sclerosis — supportive care

Supportive care for neurological autoimmune symptoms. A pre-booking consultation reviews your diagnosis, current medications, and the most appropriate programme duration.

Why we treat

the immune system differently

Root causes, not suppression

At Tigris Valley we do not begin by suppressing the immune system. We work to understand why it became dysregulated — through Functional Medicine, Ayurveda, Unani, and Nature Therapy — addressing gut health, chronic inflammation, toxic load, hormonal imbalance, and stress. Two people with the same diagnosis can have entirely different root causes.

The gut is often where this begins

The gut lining is the body’s largest immune interface. When intestinal permeability increases, undigested particles and bacterial fragments cross into the bloodstream, triggering an immune response. Repeated over time, this can mistarget joints, thyroid, skin, or the gut lining itself. Addressing the gut is not an alternative to treating autoimmune disease. It is treating one of its most common root mechanisms.

Testing conventional care often skips

Your panel is tailored to your diagnosis and typically includes a food sensitivity panel, intestinal permeability markers, inflammatory markers (CRP, ESR, ANA where indicated), nutrient deficiency screening (vitamin D, B12, zinc, magnesium), gut microbiome analysis, and heavy metal screening where clinically indicated. Your doctor reviews every result with you directly.

Alongside your current treatment

No medication changes are made without explicit medical guidance. Protocols are designed to work alongside conventional immunosuppressant or biologic therapy, not replace it. Some guests reduce dosage under medical supervision as markers improve — a clinical decision, never a programme assumption. Many notice digestive and inflammatory changes within the first two weeks; lab and symptom shifts continue in the months after, as gut restoration keeps working.

Twenty-one days

is the recommended minimum

01

Diagnostics and purification

Week 1. Functional immunology testing and full health history on Day 1. Panchakarma begins — Virechana and Basti clear the inflammatory load. Herbal anti-inflammatory protocols commence. Most guests notice reduced bloating and improved digestion by Day 5. Shorter 14-day programmes are available for milder presentations or guests returning for a follow-up protocol.

02

Gut restoration and targeted therapy

Week 2. The 4R gut protocol — Remove, Replace, Reinoculate, Repair — combined with Ayurvedic Agni restoration. Elimination diet results guide dietary refinement. Anti-inflammatory herbal dosing increases. Many guests report reduced joint pain or skin inflammation beginning mid-week. Gut restoration research consistently shows a minimum of two to three weeks to produce measurable change.

03

Consolidation and the 90-day protocol

Week 3. Final lab panel compares inflammatory markers against Day 1. Advanced Ayurvedic restorative therapies rebuild depleted tissue. Discharge includes a 90-day home protocol and scheduled telehealth follow-up.

What the stay

includes

A root-cause framework. Every autoimmune programme begins with identifying your specific trigger profile.

Functional immunology testing

Inflammatory markers, food sensitivity testing, intestinal permeability markers, and nutrient deficiency screening. This assessment shapes every decision in your programme.

Gut restoration and diet

The 4R framework combined with Ayurvedic Agni restoration to rebuild the gut lining that drives immune dysregulation. An elimination and reintroduction protocol identifies your food triggers, replaced with an anti-inflammatory therapeutic diet designed around your test results.

Panchakarma detoxification

Virechana and Basti clear the inflammatory toxins (Ama) that perpetuate autoimmune flares, preparing the body to respond to targeted anti-inflammatory therapy.

Anti-inflammatory herbal protocols

Guduchi, Turmeric, Guggulu, and Ashwagandha prescribed at therapeutic dosages — selected for documented immune-modulating and anti-inflammatory properties.

Nervous system regulation

Pranayama and meditation protocols to reduce the cortisol-driven inflammation that frequently perpetuates autoimmune flares alongside dietary and gut triggers.

Evidence, then

an individual protocol

The gut-immune connection in autoimmune disease is supported by a growing body of peer-reviewed research. Our protocols combine this evidence base with classical Ayurvedic anti-inflammatory medicine, applied through individualised functional testing. Speak with a specialist about your condition, current medications, and the most suitable integrative protocol. First step: a consultation via the form or WhatsApp at +91 91070 40040.
