Your symptoms

are real

Post-Exertional Fatigue

Disproportionate exhaustion following minimal physical or cognitive activity. Often worsened by pushing through — a hallmark feature of Long COVID that distinguishes it from ordinary tiredness.

Brain Fog

Cognitive impairment — difficulty concentrating, memory lapses, word-finding problems, and mental slowness — often described as thinking through cotton wool. Neuroinflammation and reduced cerebral circulation are key drivers.

Breathlessness & Chest Symptoms

Persistent shortness of breath, chest tightness, and reduced exercise tolerance — even in patients who had mild initial COVID illness and show normal lung function on standard tests.

Widespread Pain

Muscle aches, joint pain, headaches, and neuropathic symptoms — often migratory and inconsistent, reflecting underlying inflammatory and autonomic nervous system dysregulation.

Immune Dysregulation

Recurring infections, allergic responses, and autoimmune-like symptoms reflecting persistent immune activation and the failure to return to immune homeostasis following the initial viral insult.

Sleep & Autonomic Dysfunction

Disrupted sleep patterns, heart rate variability, orthostatic intolerance (POTS-like symptoms), and temperature dysregulation — reflecting autonomic nervous system damage that standard cardiology assessments often miss.

Why Long Covid

needs this approach

The conventional gap

Long COVID does not fit neatly into any single medical specialty. Neurologists find no lesion. Cardiologists find no structural problem. Pulmonologists find normal lung function. Rheumatologists find no inflammatory markers on standard panels. Each specialist treats their piece — and nobody manages the whole.

Why this fills it

Long COVID is a multi-system condition. It requires a multi-system approach — one that investigates the root mechanisms simultaneously, not in isolated specialties. Combined with Ayurveda’s understanding of post-illness recovery, immune restoration, and nervous system regeneration, the work at Tigris Valley addresses Long COVID at every level it operates.

A full clinical picture, not a single specialty

What Tigris Valley investigates

Where standard medicine stops, our functional diagnostic workup begins.

Mitochondrial function

Organic Acid Testing (OAT) — the primary driver of post-exertional fatigue

Viral persistence

Reactivation markers for EBV, CMV, and HHV-6

Inflammatory cytokines

A panel for persistent immune activation that standard tests miss

Gut microbiome

The COVID–gut axis and its systemic effects

Autonomic nervous system

HRV analysis and tilt response for POTS-like patterns

Hormonal disruption

Cortisol, thyroid, and sex hormone dysregulation after COVID

Nutritional depletion

Vitamin D, B12, zinc, magnesium, and glutathione reserves

Neuroinflammation

Neurofilament light chain and related inflammatory markers

A step-by-step

clinical framework

Every Long COVID programme at Tigris Valley is built around the same clinical sequence — investigate first, then treat what you find. Nothing is guesswork and nothing is generic.

Functional Diagnostics

Comprehensive lab testing on Day 1 — mitochondrial function, inflammatory markers, viral persistence, gut health, hormonal profile, and nutritional status. We test what standard medicine does not.

Immune Restoration

Targeted IV and herbal protocols to resolve persistent immune activation, restore immune homeostasis, and address the viral persistence driving ongoing symptoms.

Panchakarma Detox

Classical Panchakarma — Virechana and Basti — to clear the inflammatory load and post-viral toxins from the body's channels and restore the conditions for genuine recovery.

Ozone Therapy

Medical ozone therapy via MAH — directly addressing viral persistence, cellular oxygen utilisation, mitochondrial dysfunction, and systemic inflammation.

Herbal Protocols

Ayurvedic and Unani immune-restorative formulations — including Ashwagandha, Guduchi, Shilajit, and Chyawanprash — prescribed at therapeutic dosages for your specific presentation.

Yoga & Breathwork

Paced breathing (Pranayama), gentle yoga nidra, and Vagus nerve stimulation protocols — specifically designed for post-exertional management and autonomic nervous system restoration.

Key therapies

that drive recovery

Each therapy is selected for its mechanism in Long COVID — not as a general wellness offering.

Nasya — neurological channels, not a sinus rinse

Nasya

Medicated oils administered through the nasal passages directly access the neurological channels — the olfactory pathway, cranial nerves, and the channels connecting the sinuses to the brain. Particularly effective for Long COVID brain fog, anosmia, headaches, and neurological fatigue.

Ozone IV therapy

Cellular oxygen, viral persistence, mitochondrial drive

Herbal immune formulations

Guduchi, Ashwagandha, Shilajit — clinical dosages

Gut restoration

Basti, the 4R protocol, the COVID–gut axis

Shirodhara

Parasympathetic reset for sleep, fatigue, and HPA

Pranayama and breathwork

Paced breathing prescribed as medicine

14 to 21 days

why duration matters

Why at least 14 days?

Long COVID recovery requires three sequential phases to work effectively: first, purification (removing the inflammatory and toxic load that perpetuates the condition); second, active functional protocols (addressing mitochondrial, immune, and gut dysfunction directly); and third, restoration and consolidation (rebuilding the tissues and systems depleted by months of illness). Each phase takes time — and cannot be meaningfully compressed without sacrificing outcomes. Most guests find that the most significant improvements become apparent in the final days and the weeks following the programme.

What to expect

week by week

Recovery from Long COVID is not linear — and we will not pretend otherwise. What follows is a realistic account of what most guests experience through the 21-day programme.

01

Diagnostics, preparation, and initial purification

The first week begins gently and with intention. Comprehensive functional lab testing on Day 1 gives your doctor a complete picture of the mechanisms driving your condition. Panchakarma preparation begins — internal oleation mobilises the toxins and inflammatory debris that have accumulated since your COVID infection.

Primary Panchakarma procedures (Virechana and Basti) are administered from Days 5–7. Herbal immune formulations and gut restoration commence. Daily Shirodhara and Abhyanga begin their work on the nervous system.

Sleep quality begins improving

Reduced inflammatory burden

Gut restoration initiated

02

Functional protocols and active recovery

With the body purified and the inflammatory load reduced, the functional medicine phase begins. IV Nutritional Therapy delivers NAD+, Glutathione, and high-dose Vitamin C directly to cells depleted by months of chronic illness. Ozone sessions begin addressing viral persistence and mitochondrial oxygen utilisation.

Most guests notice meaningful changes in Week 2 — more stable energy, clearer thinking, and less constant muscle ache. Brain fog typically shows the first signs of lifting. Breathlessness begins to ease as ozone and Pranayama work together.

Brain fog beginning to lift

Energy more stable

Reduced muscle pain

Improved sleep continuity

03

Restoration, integration, and discharge

The final week is the most restorative. Advanced Rasayana therapies rebuild tissues and systems depleted by Long COVID. Final functional lab testing on Day 20 compares key markers against your Day 1 baseline — mitochondrial function, inflammatory markers, nutritional status, and hormonal profile.

Most guests describe Week 3 as the first time they genuinely feel like themselves again. Lifestyle medicine coaching builds the return-to-activity plan. Discharge includes a 90-day home protocol and scheduled telehealth follow-up.

Significant cognitive restoration

Sustained energy recovery

Breathlessness reduced

Immune markers improved

Recovery from Long COVID is real — but it is not always complete within three weeks. Many guests experience 40–70% symptom improvement by discharge, with continued recovery in the months that follow. The 90-day home protocol and telehealth follow-up are designed to protect and extend those gains.

Questions

about Long Covid care

Straight answers from the clinic — not a sales script. If your case is unusual, say so on the call.

Can Ayurveda really help Long COVID?

Classical texts call post-viral weakness Jwara Janya Daurbalya. Panchakarma, Rasayana, Shirodhara, and Nasya map onto the drivers modern research names: inflammatory load, mitochondrial depletion, and autonomic disruption. Ayurveda alone is not enough. The programme works because it is joined to functional diagnostics and ozone therapy.

What tests do you run?

Organic Acid Testing for mitochondrial function; viral reactivation markers (EBV, CMV, HHV-6); a high-sensitivity inflammatory panel; gut health; a full hormonal panel; nutritional status; and autonomic function. Your doctor walks every result with you on Day 3.

Are the results permanent?

They are measured on pre- and post-programme labs. What holds is the 90-day home protocol: food, sleep, pacing, herbs, and follow-up. Guests who keep that work usually continue improving for three to six months. Those who return to the old load may lose some of the gain. Telehealth is there for the long stretch.

Is Panchakarma too intense for Long COVID?

The preparation is extended. Purification is slower than for a well guest. Rest days sit in the calendar. Yoga and breathwork are paced so they do not trigger post-exertional malaise. Your Vaidya watches capacity and changes the protocol in the room, not on a template.

How long after infection should I wait?

Guests arrive from three months to several years after COVID. If you are still in acute illness, or less than six weeks out, wait until that phase has settled. Unsure — the pre-booking medical call will say.

Can I keep my current medications?

In most cases, yes. Day 1 is a full medication review — antihistamines, LDN, antivirals, supplements. We coordinate with your home physician. Nothing is stopped without clinical reason.

I would be travelling alone.

Many Long COVID guests do. Coordinators meet you at the airport. The day is built around your energy. Nursing is available around the clock. Guests who arrive alone often call this the safest medical room they have been in since falling ill.
