"I spent fifteen years going to specialists in New York. Cardiologists, endocrinologists, rheumatologists - none of them talked to each other, none of them asked about my life. At Tigris Valley, on my first day, the doctor sat with me for over two hours. He read my entire health history and connected things no American doctor had ever connected. I left after 21 days feeling genuinely healed. My inflammation markers were down. My sleep was restored. I cried on the flight home - relief, not sadness."
— Jennifer M., New York | 21-Day Detox & Autoimmune Recovery Program
"I'd been burned out for three years running a startup in San Francisco. I'd tried therapy, medication, everything. Two weeks at Tigris Valley reset something in my nervous system I didn't know could be reset. The combination of Ayurveda and the functional medicine testing gave me actual answers - not just coping strategies. I'm back with energy I haven't had since my twenties."
— David R., San Francisco | 14-Day Stress & Burnout Recovery Program
India's most stable, educated, and internationally connected states, with a long history of medical tourism. Tigris Valley is a UNESCO recognised, AYUSH certified, and ISO accredited institution with thousands of international patients treated. Our dedicated international patient support team manages every aspect of your stay.
The cost of wellness and Ayurvedic treatment in India can be significantly lower than comparable programmes in the US, while still offering personalised care and extended treatment stays. To understand the cost difference in more detail, read our Why Wellness Retreats in India Cost 70% Less Than the US article.
The recommended stay depends on your health goals, condition, and personalised treatment plan. Many Ayurvedic programmes require sufficient time for consultation, preparation, treatment, and recovery. If you're specifically considering Panchakarma, our American Guide to Panchakarma in Kerala provides additional information for US travellers.
English is the primary language of consultation and communication at Tigris Valley. All specialist doctors, wellness coordinators, and support staff are fluent in English.
Tigris Valley's physicians will review your medical history and current health requirements before recommending an appropriate programme. Treatment plans are personalised based on your individual needs rather than a diagnosis alone. International guests can learn more about the consultation, treatment planning, and support available through our International Patients in Kerala page.
Tigris Valley runs year-round programs. The monsoon season (June–September) is traditionally considered ideal for panchakarma and deep Ayurvedic cleansing - the humid climate enhances herbal absorption and tissue receptivity. The cooler months (October–February) are equally effective and particularly comfortable for American guests unaccustomed to tropical heat.
